We Start With What You Have
“I have $____ for a dog park, playground, tennis court resurface/repurpose, etc. Can you help me?” We get at that all the time. The short answer is “Yes. We can absolutely help you!” The next step in the process is to talk about the space available. No matter what the project might be, information about the space available is crucial to understanding our possibilities and potential limits.
We deal with limitations everyday – whether that’s budget related, space related, or both. Our goal is always to maximize your budget, meaning this: We want to provide you with the maximum value possible with the money available. We apply that same logic to space limitations by working within the area you have to deliver a finished product you’ll be happy to show off.
From Concept To Reality!
So we designed a project for you, but what does the finished product look like? Take a look at the above pictures: On the left side we have the “before” picture; next to that is a design for the court space we came up with for this particular client. They wanted a shaded area with a few site amenities and outdoor games to create a gathering place for their property. After a few revisions and consulting with the client more on their desires for the space, we landed on the layout you see here.
It’s important to remember that this entire process is a conversation, not a monologue. We want our clients to tell us what they want, give us feedback on designs, and direction as we narrow the focus to exactly what we can accomplish together.
